Hips Stuck!

When dancing to a club dance ball, my hips freeze at certain points and the rest of the body remains animated. I've tried detaching everything, using a new shape, etc. but nothing seems to work!

I changed shoes and the hip freeze ceased.

Are there animations built into the shoes? This may be due to the animation from the shoes overlapping with the dance animation.
