"When I try to import the SL avatar (.obj) to Daz studio 1.7 , it SAYS importing, but then nothing appears!! I cant import bvh into Daz!"

The summary of all below:
Setup your poser content directories correctly. ????
    Import the (.cr2) file
Clikc LOCATE if it asks you to locate the (.obj) file.
Click the (.obj) file and OK.

I searched for HOURS on this.. and if theres anyone else with the same problem.. here a sort of solution.

make the scaling 1 unit = 1 meter
not 1cm :)
This seems to import the Avatar, but only as 1 object ( you cant move the joints at all)

My thoughts... "I think I need more help on getting set up in DAZ. I dont get how it works. cant i just import a "mannequin" and have it keep all its joints and stuff? Why the folders within folders? What do they mean by "poser content directories" ? is that like the program called POSER by Curious Labs?"

What i ended up importing was the SL avatar (.cr2) which has all t he joints and bones, though I haven't tested yet. At first it said to couldn't locate the (.obj) file, but then I just clicked LOCATE and it brought up a list of files, one of which was the original (.obj) file i already tried to import!
YAY I did it!!!
On the other hand, OMG I don't understand the way this works at all.

if I get the hang of it Ill post another message. or someone who knows more could beat me to it ;)
