I go thru all the steps that everyone suggest I do in order to make a pose. When I go to upload it... it does not show in preview... when it is uploaded it does absolutely nothing. It is blowing my mind.

Judy, a common mistake people tend to make is not starting with the default pose. For some reason, SL seems to need the skeleton in Poser's default position to start with. Make sure you have the entire body keyframed with zero movement at frame 1. Start your actual animation with keyframes at frame 2. Also, when you export your BVH file, make sure to allow Poser to scale automatically. If you don't allow scaling, SL will not understand the file.

If you're doing all those things, then I don't know what else to tell you. It might help if you outline your exact procedure for creating animations. List every step, and I can probably spot what is missing or what is wrong.

Uh, my post was cleared earlier, but Judy, I hope you got it right.

Here is a link to Ulrika's Basic Poser 5 Tutorial. She also has a "starting" Poser file for download.

Basically the major thing to have in mind are:

- Use a Poser 2 figure (wow, if I had known that from the start...)
- Keyframe 1 is just a "default" pose, animations start at frame 2
- Allow Poser to redimension/scale everything

And that should be more than enough to get you started!

I have this same problem. But i am running on Poser 4. an older copy before it was called artist. In it I dont have the option to "scale automatically" during file export. Ive been driving myself crazy with this thing. I have used poser 2 models and made keyframe 1 the default pose before moving in key frame 2. Any advice anyone? Is there a place in poser for that i can select automatic scale if thats my problem. *and i feel that it is*

with poser 4 you have to upgrade it to 4.0.3 or something like that. I have that upgrade on my home computer, and it worked fine. Forgot to do it on my laptop and damn near drove myself batty trying to figure out why my animations would not work when made on my laptop. You can get the update here.
