Dear Animators out there. Poser question ( Poser 6 )

Would some kind soul please tell me how to cut out frames from the middle of an animation, either single frame or blocks of frames. I know of course how to chop them off the end but not from within an animtion.

Please !

Kindest regards

Carl

I'm almost sure you can only cut them off the end, at least with Poser 5. It's not a real problem though, just slide your keyframes forward to where you want them (highlight the frame, then drag it forward) and then cut off the rest from the end.

In the animation window (don't know its real name, its the one with the timeline that shows the keyframes and stuff as a matrix) just drag a box over the keyframe (be sure to select every body part) then slide it (with click and hold). So for example to shorten an animation, if the last frame (say frame 60) is a keyframe, you just select it and then drag it to where you want the last keyframe to be (say frame 30) then delete frames 31 to 60 and voila!

Even better, you can drag parts of keyframes around, so that different parts of the body are keyed at different frames. This can give a much more natural, fluid movement than having every joint in the body move at the same time.

Sounds like you already know this Carl, but for anyone else reading this note that the window Suzi refers to is the Animation Palette.
