Dance Animation Question

I recently purchased a dance animation made by Kaboom Karfield. And I know how to use it with the "open, play local\play in world" string of command. But what I'm wondering is how (if it possible even) to have a selection of purchased dance animations randomly select when I'm on a Dance Pad or Dance floor.

Sorry if my question is kinda hard to understand, sleep deprivation and all that.



Also, might it be a good idea to setup a newbie section on the forum for questions like this? With a series of tutorial and how-to's to help take the curve outta the learning curve?

Yes, it is possible to control animations as you describe. There are several merchants around the world who have created devices to do that, or you can create your own by learning the scripting language, LSL, and writing a script. Alternately, you can assign keystroke commands to invoke specific gestures, which are created from poses and animations. A word of warning about using purchased animations/poses with gestures. You cannot put a no-copy or no-transfer animation into a gesture. Since most animations are sold either no copy or no trans, you will most likely be unable to use them in a gesture directly. There are many devices that allow you to put animations in them, from personal dance devices like the Dance Foo and the Chimera all the way to HUD devices like the Huddles device and lots in between. Also, some vendors do sell gestures directly with the animations already in them.
