I'm new to animation. Actually I've never done it before. Is there a way to create animations in-world or is there a seperate program that you need?
Either way is it possible for someone with no experience to jump in and start making animations? Or is it too complex for someone to just start into with no prior knowledge?
Thanks

Making animations takes some program like "poser." You can't just log in and make poses unfortunately. This program isn't cheap either. While it's possible to get the program and "jump right in," (as many people including myself have done) it's not easy. It's a complex learning process of bad poses and twisted limbs. If you don't have the patience for lots of mistakes, you might want to stick to prim manipulation. =D

Hi Mark, Yes as said above you cannot creat animations in world. Poser is done by Curious Labs and is fairly expensive. Blender.org is free but takes a huge learning curve and some work on the .bvh file to work properly in SL DAZ Studio is nifty but doesn't have a native .bvh export so some sort of conversion process is needed. These are your options so far as I know. I have just started working in Poser and while there is a learning curve the GUI is very nice and fairly intuitive. Hope this helps.
