Non "state" animations?

I've looked, but couldn't find, the answer. Apologies if this has been asked a zillion times. I am setting up a ZHAO HUD, and everything is fine with the animations like walk, sit, stand.

However....

I'm wondering how I can access/trigger animations that don't correspond to standard "states" and don't correspond to a "state" in the notecard. For instance, I have a curtsy animation that I would like to be able to access quickly (either click on a HUD button, or type a command). If I have to dig in my inventory to find the animation, the curtsy oportunity is lost.

I tried the regular Franimations software , and I my understanding is that I simply drop the animation in the contents and use the typed command "anim <name>" but I couldn't get this to work.

What's the best way to set up so that I can have my standard AO for walk, stand, fly, etc..., along with a quick way to play other types of animations, like faint, curtsy, roundhouse kick?

Thanks
Bree Giffen

Make gestures out of them. You can map them to either a certain key or when you type something in the chat bar. To make a gesture you go into your inventory folder and right click on the gestures folder and choose New Gesture. Then you put your animation in there, set a shortcut key, or a trigger and that should work if the animation is higher priority than whatever animation your avatar is currently in.

Thank you Bree. I didn't realize this was possible. I just assumed there was some fundamental difference between gestures and animations. I will go try this now. Thanks again for the help.

Edit: Just did it. So simple! thanks
