Hips suddenly won't upload right

I've been working on a dance for weeks. I've successfully uploaded several dozen versions on the test server and a few on the live server. But today when I try to upload it, the hips are out of position throughout the dance, especially when the hips are supposed to go down and up. The legs rise up and the hips don't move down or up. It looks as if the dancer is floating in air as her legs rise and fall. The animation is also somewhat misaligned horizontally.

What's alarming is that previous versions, which earlier uploaded fine, now won't upload properly either. This happened to me once before with this animation; the only cure was to reload an earlier working version in Poser and start work again. But this time I'm finding that even earlier, once-working versions aren't uploading properly now -- on either the beta grid or live. Could it be the uploader temporarily goes whacko?

Can anyone suggest a fix? Obviously I can try to put all sorts of weird hip movement into my file to compensate for the bizarre upload, but god knows how long that will take. On the other hand, I've put weeks of work into this, so weird hip plotting may be my only choice.

Anyone?

Yes, I've had the same problem. As far as I'm aware this has always been a "feature" of SL. When you bend the knees on a figure and lower the hip, it looks fine in Poser, but on upload the hip stays at the same height and the legs fold up underneath. I think it is something to do with the HIP being at the top of the hierarchy - but I'm guessing here.

I've found that you have to exagerate the HIP downward (or upward) movements and add more key frames - and test again and again until it looks ok.

If anyone knows a foolproof way of dealing with this, I would be very pleased to learn of it!

Thanks for your reply Deira. I've actually keyframed EVERY frame -- 276 frames so far, at 15 FPS. Iit uploaded fine thru 276 frames. Then I went back and started refining my head and neck animations (the easiest thing to do -- I tend to work from the bottom up). Every "save" I've made since I started doing this results in a BVH that does NOT upload properly. Unfortunately, I was focused on the head, and I apparently didn't notice that the BVHs were no longer uploading correctly until I'd invested 6+ hours of work.

In other words, the hip joints I plotted worked fine until I started amending the neck and head. Why in the world would that be?
