I highly reccommend a book called The Animator's Survival Kit written by Richard Williams who directed Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It is a fascinating and entertaining read and about half of the book is on creating walks.

huh, interesting coincidence. This first link is an excerpt from a book called "Digital Character Animation 2, Vol 1" which I was flipping through just a couple hours ago. It's one of my favorite books about 3D animation. Not software specific, but that's an advantage; rather than getting bogged down with the buttons and menus of the software being used, the book discusses higher level concepts, like techniques used for character modeling or breakdowns of various movements. _____________________
