I am very new to animations and to poser. I've watched several tutorials and have had some success, but recently i have a problem with the playback after I "animate." When the animation is played back, the figure becomes distorted, twisted, etc. but after a rew more frams, it straightens out and looks like i intended it to look and to work. For instance one standing animation plays back in both SL and in poser, but the avatar folds in half at the waist--ugly very ugly. Thanks in advance.

Geo The twisting and distortion is due to the key interpolation. Poser defaults to spline curves so the track will go all over the place. Open up the Animation Palette and then the Graph Display (the red wave button in the middle) and you can see the interpolation curve. The key is to switch key interpolation types (break the spline, linear, constant) to get a manageable curve.

Geo Breaking Spline on Frame 2 will probably sort this out for you. Get the animation pallate up (key symbol bottom right of screen). Get to the top of Frame 2 in the animation pallate and select all of Frame 2 keys - click on the dotted line at the top. Now click the "Break Spline" button at the top right of the animation pallate. All the keys in Frame 2 should now show a / symbol.
