For once Ill try make it short and sweet Im working on my first animation set where two chars interact. I know its impossible to account for all the different "sized" AVies in SL. So when ya pros design such animations (lets say a hug) what do you find is best to use as a baseline when spacing (say like the hands on the hugger?) Do ya just use the default SL poser rig and hope for best; that it will fit more AVies then not?

I had a different plan... This requires more effort. I began to make a contraption to aid in a survey about AV types, sizes, feature, etc. Included in it was collecting datapoints on attachments. (what slots are used, where the end of tail was, ends of erect bits, furry faces) This would provide data needed to obtain averages for use in creating generalized animations and suggestions on what to use for attach points for accessories.
