My alt is a character with consumption. I do not have access to Poser myself. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a nice animation of a man coughing? Thank you very much. I would also be interested in coughing sounds if they are relatively subtle.

I would also be interested in coughing sounds if they are relatively subtle. Great idea. I can't help you with the cough animation (my poser skiils are not so good.) But if you have a microphone, you can record the coughs yourself. As long as they are under 10 seconds, you can upload the .wav files and use them. If you don't have a mic or your own cough is just too healthy, try this site, PartnersinRhyme. They appear to have a lot of really juicy ones... _____________________

I think the "whistle" anim looks like a cough, so I have it set up so that if I type cough that anim plays - works for me.

BTW, there is already a built in cough animation - not sure if you have seen it. It is attached to the /cough gesture in the Library.

Um, could I have lost my "cough" animation somehow? i don't see it in my inventory or library at all...

I have seen a cough animation, recently, in one of the bigger animation stores. Problem is, I can't remember well which one. Maybe it was Abranimations (?) at Devil's Cove (?). Do a search on places (mature checked) on "animations", and it will be near the top. The particular animation I remember with a cough was a stand animation made for an AO, with the cough somewhat understated, so it probably fits what you want pretty well.
If you want an animation with sound, then you are looking more precisely for a gesture rather than a mere animation. I'm not a fan of gestures, so I'm no help there. But there are plenty out there, I'm sure you can find them (try Freebie Warehouse and Freebie Dungeon first- heck, there might even be cough animations in one of those two places). I jumped on this thread because it was cough related AND..
I am looking for a cough animation (no, I don’t have consumption!) and/or gesture and I *thought* there was one in the inventory, I remember seeing it and now, it's gone! It's supposed to be part of the "built-in" animation, so I am wondering how it disappeared. Finally, if it is gone for good, where can I get another? |
