I have made an animation in avmotion, but when i place it into a ball with the poseball 4 script .. the AV moves as i move the mouse around. Is there any way that the AV can be made to be static when the mouse is moved about and only the anim movements work Ty for any help

Are you in mouselook mode? If so, exit mouselook, and run your animation in normal view.
If not, then your mouse shouldn't be able to affect the avatar simply by moving. Not sure what to tell you there.

You need enough differences between the first frame of your animation, the basic T-pose, and the other frames. If, for example, neck or chest aren't moved at all, SL will ignore those joints when playing the animation and apply the basic movement, like moving chest/neck/head to look in the direction of the mouse cursor. Make sure all joints are moved, at least slightly rotated by +1 or -1. Also, set the priority to 3 or better 4 when uploading the BVH file.
