That's one of the options when you upload a bvh file, to choose the loop's in and out points in an animation.
After that, as far as I can tell, you'll need two gestures: one to start and loop, and one to stop. _____________________

Only problem is that LL decided to use percentages for the looping points instead of frame numbers. So if you want to loop from from 93 to 147 of a 253 frame clip, 93/253 to 147/253 = approximately 37% to 58%, but you'll have to play with it. Note that there are frames after the end looping point that will be played; you could have a 30 second animation that loops from 0% to 0% (aka the first frame) and once it's stopped the animation actually plays out for 30 seconds.

Animation Properties
06-24-2004 12:22
Properties of animations, such as whether and where to loop and priority are set during the preview and can not be modified after upload.
I would like to see these properties modifiable after upload. Because priorities are hidden, it's difficult to know what to set an incoming animation's priority at to get it to behave correctly with existing ones. Additionally, it would add value to open animations by allowing users to customize and combine them. ~Ulrika~ |

I would just be happy if they default no mod, no copy... what is up with that anyways?

I've been making mine mod/copy but no transfer.. I've been told by a few people that these perms let people add them into gestures with no issues. I have yet tro try it out msyelf though.

i'm having the opposite problem, looping is fine, but how do you make it play once and then freeze the last frame?

You turn looping on and set the start frame to 100% and the finish frame to 100%. That way it plays the animation once and loops on the last frame forever.

The looping of animations using a % value is the reason I have made a shortcut to calculator on my desktop ^_^
