using an animation overide that keeps that arms further from the side since the ave has these prim legs that are spaced further then the actual ones.

Is it possable to have an animation only affect the arms while all the other idling animations play anyway, or do I have ot redo all of them?

an animation only effects the body parts in moves, so if an anim is made tht doesn't change anything else, they won't be effected by the anim

What you refer to is called a *partial* pose - very helpful because you can play one on top of another if different body parts are used. VERY helpful :)

To do this you must understand how SL determines which parts of a body are affected by a pose and which are not. In order to do this, SL needs every animation to be at least two frames long - even if you only have a static pose - two frames!

The first frame is the reference frame - everything that is *not* moved or rotated between frame and and two is ignored and will be controlled by SL. Everything that *does* change between frame one and two will be affected by the pose .... *if* the priority is right. :)

To see how this works, always preview as looped and always chose "while walking". If you want your pose override to be active "while walking" you need to set the priority to 3 - just play with the controls and see how this works.

In your case - just moving the shoulders should do the trick - I'd recommend trying that before you change arms or forearms. This way the figure would behave almost as normal but have the arms spread more.

I did this for myself because I hated carrying a handbag which was ALWAYS inside of my skirt when standing. It worked quite nice :)
