Having a problem with a Jump animation...

So, I was trying to make a jump animation of my character doing a single front flip. I have a T-pose or something similar for my first frame so that it works as a reference, and it works perfectly when standing, but when I try to use it in a jump(having put it in a Zhao AO), I seem to do weird midair crunches, and not a flip. I looked at other animations of flipping that other people have done, and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary that I'm not doing. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

full 360 degree rotations can be tricky in animations (where the hip makes a full 360 rotation) That is because the .bvh format only goes between -180 and 180 typically, so if you do a flip and your hip is rotating up at 30, 60 , 90, 120, 150, 180 and then has to go to -181 or somethingand the interpreter does not always get it right.

I have done several of these and you have to play with the numbers until it works (I may not be fully coherent here since I do not have access to my animations right now) In your BVH creator, you may have to go in and play with the frames around this transition until you get the numbers right and it is different for different animation software tools.

As I recall, you don't ever really want to use 180 or -180 because the interpretation can get dicey - use numbers on either side of it lie 179 and -179 to make the transition through this trouble.

So, are you saying to do a full 360 flip you have to start at -179 and go to post 179 instead of zero to 360?

/me did a simple flying loop for a butterfly AV that started at 90, went to -90 at the peak, and finished at -270 in QAvimator with no problem during an event so I could do something like "dancing"

but just cause it works in Qavimator, doesn't mean it'll work or look the same in SL !

Um, er... So...

/me emphasizes the "did" ... "during an event" ... "something like 'dancing'" in her previous post

I didn't say I tried a move in QA and didn't preview or upload it to SL! ;)

Yes, it looked and worked exactly the same in SL, which is why I was sharing. :)
