How can I change what anim I use for default actions, such as walk, afk, or flying?
To give an example, I'd like to use the sitting lotus, flying library animation for my afk anim, instead of the bowed-head anim.
Is this doable?

Right click yourself and go to gestures. Then, create a new one. You can set the gesture to be triggered by a word you specify.
All the gestures got sort of screwed up recently. The default set is in your library, I think you will need to copy it there and put it in your inventory, then you can use it. Its harder than it needs to be. We used to have a full set of gestures already activated, but that went away recently. I think it was done away with so that you can make your own gestures without conflicting with the old defaults. You should be able to set up your gestures how you want, just play around with it. Remember that once you create a new gesture, you will need to go to your inventory and make sure it is activated so it will work all the time. I have had issues with new gestures not working until I activate them a couple of times. Good luck and have fun with it. _____________________

It is not doable through the interface, but several people offer Animation Override objects in world that you can use. Basically, they are an attachment you wear, that you put animations into and it changes the way you walk/fly/stand, etc... which is what you are looking for. Off the top of my head, I know you can find them in a store called Mourning After, and also in Midnight City, though I forget where exactly in MC. Hope this helps. _____________________

Francis Chung has a free animation override script that is superior to most commercial scripts out there. He asked me to document it, as he isn't interested in providing support (don't bother him please). If anyone would like to join me in a documentation project for Francis's work, contact me and I'll pass along the script.

I was lowering all the prices on my animations as announced in my online catalog and noticed that someone dropped off a free copy of Francis Chung's animation override script in my Werkstatt that has been edited and documented by FlipperPA Perigrine! Thank you all so much!
If you would like a free copy of Francis Chung's Open Source Anim Override script, head over to "Ulrikas Werkstatt" at Seefeld (50, 10) and go to the industrial loft at the top of the mountain crest with the red SDF banner (not my smaller cottage). It's in a large purple prim. You can't miss it. ![]() ~Ulrika~ _____________________
