MTV2, part of MTV Networks (which is, in turn, a Viacom company), is planning to air a new series called Video Mods. The series will debut on September 18 at 9:30 PM EST, and will feature video game characters performing in adaptations of real music videos. For example, Majesco's BloodRayne character will be performing in a video based on that created for Evanescence's song Everybody's Fool. While unconfirmed, FI has heard rumors that Kirby is desperate to cover some classic Pink Floyd, while the performers for the Video Mods version of an NSYNC video are being cast from a massive open call for cel-shaded console role-playing game characters.
