I didnt see this in the faq, i'm using quavimator.

When i get my animation finished and uploaded I play it and the whole thing lasts like 3 seconds? if i'm lucky...what settings do I change to slow it down. I assumed making small changes per frame would make it more realistic but it moves so fast its kinda pointless.

I have frame 30/30 and fps set to 15

ok, found the answer here :(..I assumed the frames were seconds :)

30 frames at 15 fps = 2 seconds
you need to make your animation longer for it to take longer, not really anyother way. space your keyframes further apart and add more frames and you should be able to achieve what you want.

Is it supposed to loop? If so, don't forget to click loop in the upload preview window.

Try 30 or 45 fps.

You should also be seeing the difference in Avimator in the speed of the animation.

Actually this would have the opposite effect. If you have a 60 frame animation and set it to 20 FPS, it will play for 3 seconds. If you set it 45 FPS, it will play for 1.333 seconds.

The key is to ask, "How long do I want the animation to last?" Let's say you want to make a 10 second animation at 30 FPS, then you need 300 frames. If it's 10 seconds at 20 FPS, it only needs to be 200 frames.

30 FPS seems to be kinda standard and the nice thing about it is if you decide you want to slow down your animation a little, you can try playing it at 24 or 20 FPS and it will still be pretty smooth.

You got me. Lovin the tenkey typos right now. 25 not 45.

Talking on a cell and driving is bad.
Talking on a cell and posting.. the same. ;D

It still should display in Avimator at a different speed.

If you're using qavimator, please don't rely on the FPS value yet. It's not 100% functional. I get the best results by leaving it at 30 FPS and spacing the keyframes so it uses the amount of time I want it to last.

I hope I can get the timing issue fixed soon. I'm workin g on qavimator here and there whenever I find the time to do so, but it's going slow.
