closed fists?

I was wondering if its possible to have one hand closed and the other hand relaxed in an animation for a gesture?

I believe that the default hand morph is relaxed. So you can just select "Fist Right" or "Fist Left" on the uploading window.

Damn, I've ever uploaded a picture of the hand morph list, but I've just found my attachments all dissapear.

Aha sorry, Karate chop... according to my poor memory, there are just two types of unclapsed hands, relaxed and spread. I think the relaxed one is better for Karate chop.

so ... I know nothing about animating the avatar. Does this mean that it would be impossible to animate the hand to push a button with one finger?

Unfortunately, it is impossible. Your real avatar is just a cuboid. All parts of your avatar, such as head, limbs and so on, are just a phantom displayed on your cliant PC. All of its animated movenet has nothing to do with physical phenomenon.

As the all knowledgable Seagel said; we just a ghost in the machine :/ But if your just wanting the illusion of the AV doing it then yes, well kinda, hmm sorta... when ya upload your animation (in this case of ya reaching hand out towards the button... ya could choose a option for the hand that is pointing if I remember correctly. The option can be for either hand. That being said; Ive personally had lot issues with the hand setting not staying constant. Seems it will show for first split second of animation then go back relaxed.
