I'm brand new to SL and i'm not quite sure what i'm doing. I just bought a new outfit and for some reason it went into the "Objects" section in my inventory. Each time i try to put it on a bag goes on my head and im still wearing my old clothes lol. Can somebuddy plz tell me what i'm doing wrong? Thanx  |

Hi Brandi,
What you have is new clothes in a box - you have to get them out. When it is on your head (or on the ground), right click and then select 'edit' from the pie menu. This will give you the 'simple' edit dialog. Click the "more" button to get the bigger 'advanced' edit dialog, then find the third dab on this bigger screen ('content' I think), This will give you a list of the things in your box. Drag the clothes one by one over to your inventory. Sometimes (for non-copy objects) this causes a warning... just click 'OK'. Now your outfit is in your inventory and you can put it on. Now you can detach and then delete the box.
Hope this helps - it confused me too!

There are many venues set up to help people who are new to SL. Brace Coral has a post about the Helping H.A.N.D. in the Services section of the Forum Classifieds. The dispenser kiosk locations are listed there. I have one on my land in Cincta (4,241). Drop by any time. Good luck and enjoy.
