Animation loophole?

I recently tried to manually play a walking animation, an older file uploaded weeks ago. It didn't loop anymore. After uploading the BVH again it seemed to be fine. Today I used the newly uploaded animation and the loop was gone too. Uploaded it a third time, made sure it did loop, relogged, animation broke again.

Is that a common bug atm? And is there any workaround?

Uh oh, I will have to check my animations. Most are loops. This may be a result of LL attempting to fix another known bug with looping, where the loops interpolate incorrectly.

How recently did you notice this? I did play some of my looping animations yesterday, so if it was longer ago than that then this is clearly not a universal bug with looping.

hmmmm, I'm having a similar problem since the last update with loops since the last update... when I upload and set a loop, I'm getting drift even on locked joints sometimes...

I've tried uploading a previous animation that worked after modifying one joint (wrist) and the shoulder started drifting and no amount of changing to lock it would fix it, either at frames one and two, or at 80 90 and 100 where the loop actually is. I tried to take out all motion afterwards and just loop those frames when they were totally static and still got the drift.

Another animation had a similar problem where when looping, the hips kept drifting. They're locked from frame 1 to 2 and then there's also a minor diff between the frame before the loop begins and the beginning of the loop as well, but no matter what, it drifts when the loop is set.

This all started with the last update. So far, since then, only one animation that I've done that has a loop inside that animation that I set using the upload tools to set the loop with a percentage of the bvh has worked properly without some kind of joint drift.

Is anyone else experiencing this ?

That's a good way of putting it, joint drift. Yes, that's exactly the bug I was talking about. If you go to my store, you can demo the lotion animation and you'll see the problem. Although the loop is perfectly seamless in Poser, when uploaded to SL there is a snap where the animation loops.

Luth told me to contact Torley so that LL will know other animators are being affected and I did; I imagine that's what you should do.

Two days ago. I checked other looped animations and they all seemed to be fine, it's just this one walking animation. The weird thing is that it happens again when I re-upload it.
