animated armor?

is it possible to add animation to objects like your car and armor etc. When you activate or deactivate the animation the car door will open or close, or say your armor visor with raise and lower. Is this possible, are there any master animators who know or have done this. Kind of like my rocketeir rocket pack, I click on it and each setting lights up a green light for what level of burn I am on. Thanks. its simple kid....have it activate up or down on or off with a simple scripted word or click. If you know how to script, then i know you can do it-chi!
