Hey, I am having problem with my 4 legged walk animation.

using Qavimator.- Franimation AO.

I made a stand and a walk.

when I go from Stand to walk, my av seems to jump into an almost standing position, for what seems like 1 frame, then drops down to begin crawling.

needless to say the it should be smooth and seamless for the dog to be sitting then walking .

Ive tried everything. ive read the forums. ive uploaded 20+ times using different prioraties. diffrent sets of key frames. please inform me if you are knowledged in this area.

more info: Stand is 2 frames 2nd frame all joints repositioned except head, (dog sitting)

Walk is 31 frames where the first frame is default and 2nd frame is on the ground all fours begining to crawl. set to loop, and ive tried multiple priority levels.

when i stop walking he rests into the sit position very nice and smooth.

but when i go to walk again he leaps up real quick and starts to crawl.

I tried this with a Rhino avatar I made a while back. I use Avimator and I dont remember the name of the AO. I get that jump or break too, but haven't went back to try to fix it yet.

But, I got to thinking----If you have different sit and stand animation slots in the AO, perhaps you need to replace all with your different animations or if possible leave only the slots for your animations and none for SL defaults. Plus, there most likely are slots for replacing the default flying animations too that need looking at and replacing with quad flying anims. There might be a default anim that's taking over for a moment in the transition.
No idea if this would help though. I need to try it myself.

Good Luck,

As i am looking in to this it may have something to do with the ease in ease out
settings, but if it will "ease" into the next position why would it seem to go to a radiacaly different"standing" position.

Absolutely right, and if this doesn't solve it I'll eat your hat and mine. I had the exact same problem recently, until clever people set me right - set ease in and out to 0. It's easing back to the default stand for a split second before it plays your animation (I think), hence the standing position. It's not being clever and easing between your animations. Get rid of the ease all together and it won't glitch any more.

Appropriate thanks to clever people :)
