I am looking for a AO so my avatar can walk on all fours. I have a cow and a pink poodle I would like to walk on all fours. I do not have much $L to spend so free would be nice.

I'm afraid you would need a very specialist AO with special scripting and animations to use a quadruped avatar and I have not come across any free ones. Wynx Whiplash makes some very popular quad avatars and the AOs are done by Abbranimations - you could try those. I will be producing skating for tinies at some point and I will try and look into quadruped skating time permitting - my little pony doesn't want to be left out this winter!

The problem with this is that quad AO's tend to actually be a coordinated system of three factors: an AO, a shape, and very specific attachment points for specific prims. To make a "universal" quad AO would be almost impossible. The AO can fold the body as needed, and can control limb movement and body position. But if the shape and length of those limbs and other parts of the body isn't what the AO designer intended, or if the size and attachment positions of the attached prims are off, then the whole thing fails to work.
I own a LOT of quad avatars, and I am quite sure each one has a custom AO, designed for that size and species of critter.
For 'generic" quad movement, the closest you might find would be an AO meant to make a avatar crawl on their hands and knees, like a Neko (cat girl). I know that Xcite! sells a fairly inexpensive crawling AO. But you would still need to do something to hide the part of the legs below the knees.
You would be better off seeing if you could team up with someone who is already making quads. If your prim-work is good, they may be willing to partner with you on making the custom AO that you would need.

As someone who has made three different quadruped AO types, I can tell you right now that no animator is going to give you a quad AO for free, at least not full perm. Even if you can get a limited perm AO off someone, it likely won't be free because they're so hard to make. Also, what Ceera said is very true, a quad AO is almost always made to only work with the avatar it was made for. Fitting a different set of prims around it is hard, and requires one to be very familiar with all the motions of the AO. So even if you did get one, it wouldn't be that useful to you - that's why no one sells true quadruped (as in animal, not human crawling) AOs alone.

I did not know about that. No wonder they are expensive. Thanks for the info.
Maybe if some cowboy wants a smart horse bad enough he will buy me one. LOL.
