Poser 6 to SL -- something being lost?

Hi I'm pretty new to animation in both Poser and SL. I've managed to figure out how to configure frame 1 and break the splines between frames 1 and 2. However, I've found that the quality of the animation in SL is not as good as that in Poser. I've tried to keyframe every frame, and setting all keyframes to linear interpolation in Poser before export and upload, but somehow it seems that SL still does some kind of curve fitting, and the animation in SL comes out jerkier. Ins and outs seem to be discarded. In addition, it seems that SL just discards the more subtle movements. For example, I have the hips rotate slightly. In Poser I have leg IK turned on during interpolation so when I generate keyframes, the feet stay in place. But I think that the resulting rotations in the thighs are actually very small, and they don't seem to be getting picked up by SL when I preview/upload the animation. So instead, though I can see the hips rotating, the legs don't and seem fixed relative to the hip rotation.

Can someone verify that this is supposed to happen, that this is just a deficiency in SL that I am going to have to bear, or am I doing something wrong?

yes. SL is optimizing the movemnt to reduce lag. Only movements that are close enough together and move "enough" come through in the upload.
