I am trying to understand how to make an animation.

I want my avatar to sink below any surface then popup after a few seconds had passed.

1. How do I make the animation?

2. Can it work on teleport?

Thanks.

Basically you make a 2 frame animation. In the first frame, don't touch anything. In the second frame select the hips/pelvis and change the z-position to -100. I can disappear using -40 but my avatar is only 6' tall. You should see the avatar sink downwards in your animation program when you do this. Then just save it as a bvh file. When you upload it be sure to make it loop. That's about it. When you play the animation it will make your avatar sink below the ground. If you are on a platform you will just appear below the platform. You stay hidden until you stop the animation.

You could make a long animation of several hundred frames that will make your avatar go underground and then reappear in a few seconds but I think the 2-frame pose is just less trouble. You can make a gesture that will start and stop the animation after a few seconds or you can script your teleporter to start/stop the animation.
