There will be a Thriller Animation Release Party Monday night at 20:00 PST at Ulrika's Werkstatt. Check out the events calendar for more details.

We'll have the Thriller animator up and running so everyone can try out the synchronized Thriller dance! It's been designed to support 24 people at once but could be modified to support an arbitrary number. I'll publish a film of the largest crowd dancing at once on my website. :)

Why won't it play for me? it says done downloading but nothing happens...

According to the webmaster, the site is getting quite a bit of SL traffic on top of the normal traffic from the other websites hosted on the server. Thus, there may be a delay in the stream arriving, so be patient. Another trick is to try to do a "Save As ..." on the file.

Other people reported a similar problem and then it just started to work for them.

If anyone would like to mirror the movie, please feel free to do so until traffic dies down.

Correction, I designed it to work with an arbitrary number of people, not specifically 20 :)
One person per prim, just add more prims as needed. The model I gave ulrika included 24 separate "dance slot" prims.
I'm working on a single-prim version, just to see if it can be done :)
Should be a lot faster to set up.

On another note, I have also just placed online a new movie filmed at the animation release party. It's the largest group of people yet (10) with a special guest lead dancer.

It was so cute we were in hysterics at home when filming. :)

ehh I just felt bad. here is this really cool video and there I am a rag doll muking up the video :-) hehehe

it was pretty darned cool. I got poser and am playing with it. some things are NOT intuitive and make no sense but I am working on it :-) got the arm flapping to work :-)
