Is there an importable SL Avatar (Male and Female) for Poser6? The Poser6 model has way more joints than the SL one.
Thanks,
Ian

The actual joints SL will allow you to move are way less than the joints you can move on a regular poser model, for instance:
Fingers cannot be animated in SL using poser, at the upload stage you get a few options for hands like "spread", "fist" etc, but they often dont really work properly, and if you choose "fist right" for instance, the other hand will always be "spread" Faces cannot be animated in SL using poser, it is possible to include facial anims by using a script that calls internal SL animations like "express_kiss", often you need to use timers in these scripts to repeat the facial animations as they are very short. This is why the SL avatar models have a lot less joints, they only have the joints that you can actually use in SL. Yes it would be great if some day they allowed animating faces and hands using poser. |

Go into Figures in Poser and use the Poser 2 figures. I usually use the male or female hi poses. Why?! You can download the actual SL avies from the downloads section. I'm sure that's what the second post was. LL even included a how to import them into poser right there in the folder. We spent ages begging for these due to the many issues, especially the leaning problem. _____________________

Yeah i'd highly reccomend the SL avatar however i do wish that LL would actually skin the things hehe. It'd make the bends in the arms and what not alot easier to see. An upgrade to be based of poser 6 would be nice hehe those models can move their toes to (yes they actually have toes!!!) You can simply use the poser 2 models but they quite often lean around if you do so your bettre off with the SL models just out of as a precautionary tactic. Just remember to zero the movement rotation and what not before you start animating just be careful not to 0 the size lol!!!

They load just fine
![]() Make sure you unpack with the directory information intact and into the runtime directory. You will get a new folder in the Figures tab. If you don't you probably messed up the path. Also keep in mind that Poser doesn't recognize fresh content by itself. When you had it running while installing you must change from Figures to something else and then back to Figures to see the new content. From my point of view the unpacking folder in the zip is just two directories SL Avatar\ SL Clothing\ So - this means you must unzip this to drive_and_path_to_your_poser\Runtime\Libraries\Character This should install the files correctly ![]() |
