Can I have a second avatar?

Can I have a second avatar? I’ve been thinking that I want a second avatar in my SL home. I guess my avatar is lonely. I have checked into purchasing another avatar, and all I find in this area are slaves, and this is temporary and a bit weird for me.

All I want is something simple, not stale and stagnate, it doesn’t need to have the same functionality as my personal avatar but in this case it needs some scripting. I’d like a realistic female, maid, dog, cat, or something. I’ve seen slaves, (temporary and operated by another real person) static pets, (ones you hold) robots, babies, and male sex dolls that are scripted.

For example, if I could have a simple basic scripted female or pet, or even both, I would spend more money on shapes, skins, clothes, necessities, and pet toys etc. I thought you could have only one Avatar? But maybe I’ve got it wrong, maybe you can have all the avatars you want, you just have to build them or have them built?

SL Support wasn’t assistive and sent back three links that lead to nowhere. Does anyone have any ideas of where to find such a creature, and if so where do I go? Thanks.

an avatar has a person behind it. you can have as many avatars as you want for yourself, but can only wear one at a time. the only way to have 2 at once is to make a 2nd account and log in as both at once, very slow tho unless you have a pretty good machine to run them.

yes you can have scripted pets, as many as you can buy and some are free. they're pretty limited, and some may lag or be spammy. i wouldn't have more than one of them out at a time.

you could try making friends, maybe...
