Poser Artist Vs. Poser 4?

Was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on all of this- I remember reading somewhere on here that Poser 4 will work well enough for creating animations for SL, and I've read elsewhere that Poser Artist is essentially a repackaged Poser 4. Am I getting any/all of this right? Should I look into this seriously or would Poser 5 or 6 be the way to go and forget this 4 nonsense? I'm on a Mac running OSX on the most recent update. Any light that could get shed on this would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

Correct. Poser Artist is essentially a repackaged Poser 4 with (I think) a couple minor patches and additions.

If you're just doing stuff for Second Life, Poser Artist is all you'll really want to pick up, as far as user-friendliness and functionality is concerned. If you want to do more than just animations with Second Life, 5 or 6 might be a better investment. :)

Thanks for the reply <g>. I guess my only real concern with it at this point is that it seems to only run on OS 8-9, and basically hollers at you not to use the program while running OS9 in classic mode...
