When transferring an animation (from QAvimator or similar) we are presented with the animation preview screen prior to 'buying' the animation. Can someone tell me what significance the priority setting has, what's the difference between 0 (or is it 1) and 4, and which is the higher priority setting if any.
Thanks Perre.. ![]() |

Each priority means that the higher number can override the other of a lower number... 4 being the most deadly. (^_^) If they're the same number, the last one run will be the overrider.
Here's a list of the priorities for all the default animations... /52/57/211163/1.html#post1683829 A little search goes a long way. (^_^)y _____________________

Oh..right..so it has absolutely nothing to do with improving the precision of the animation (I've noticed a few of my animations dont turn out quite the way they appeared in QAv). Thanks Imnot.. that's finally answered a question I've been wondering about for some time.
Thanks..Perre.. ![]() |

Take it from somebody that's usually 3'11" inworld... Precise animations can be tough. I've had to make all my own sit anis just because anything I find pushes me through the floor. (T_T)
I'm often on the beta grid re-trying an ani that moves the hip elevation over-and-over-and-over again to get it "just right". Successes are rare. (=_=) When (if) i get it right, I keep close track of that file. (^_^)y _____________________

If I may add my L$6 about priorities for anyone else reading this thread and that instinct of "which is the highest"?
![]() Lower is better, you want the lowest priority that works for what you want, so your animation blends with others properly. Setting the priority too high breaks others in SL and defeats the entire purpose of the system! Also, it contributes to lag if every animation is set to 4. Scripts now have to have timers to replay priority 4 animations in case another priority 4 animation plays over it. Those timers have to be fast/frequent enough to minimize the visual glitch caused by this. ![]() _____________________
