ok.. i got AvMotion...and im just trying to do a pose. not a animation ..

i basicly got that i gotta start it on frame.. and i got my character doing the pose... for the most part

the problem is.. its not a solid pose... my Avi moves about.. breathes.. even looks in directions.. i dont want this.. i want a full fledged pose.. frozen solid figure.

how do i do this?

1. Set the whole frame to just one on the Avimator.
2. Set the priority to 4, and marked Loop on the uploading window.

If you create your animation by multiple frames, you should posture it the default T-Pose at the first frame. Yes, you're right. But if you create your animation by a single frame, you should be able to posture it a full fledged pose. Note that you can't move its hip in case of the single one.
If you left frames multiple and posture your figure somehow at the first frame, you might be unable to upload it.
Please read Animation Guide first.

And you should also be able to find the answer on the sticky FAQ thread.
2. Why isn't this body part moving in SL the way it does in Poser?!?!
It is the first linked one in it.

Just to reiterate what Seagel was saying, if you want an absolutely stiff pose using Avimator (or Poser or any animation editor), you have to click on the field that specifies the number of frames (in the bottom right corner of Avimator) and set that to "1". This sets the total number of frames in the animation to 1.

This is a special case (a one frame animation) that SL will treat as a totally stiff pose as long as you do the following two things in the upload window:

1. Click on the "Loop" check box
2. Set the priority to 4.
