Nagging question about Gestures

This has been nagging me since I started on SL: Every time I log in, it seems none of my gestures are loaded, and I have to find them in my inventory and drag them onto my AV. Of course, I never remember to do this until the moment in conversation where I want one and oooop.... by the time I get it loaded, the moment has passed.

Am I missing something - is there somewhat to get gestures to stick like your current outfit does?

If you right click them in your inventory and choose "activate" they should be able to be triggered however they're set to be activated, usually voice commands or key strokes. You can edit how they are triggered by double clicking I think.

Er, I wasn't being clear: I want them to still be activated after I log off and then log in again without having to go find them and activate them again at the beginning of each session.

If you look to the right of the Chat area (where you type), there's a pop up box of gestures that are activated. That's a great way to get to them in a hurry when you don't remember the activation sequence.

When I log in to SL - I have no gestures available. I have to go to my inventory and activate them (by picking from the menu or by dragging them onto the AV.) If I do that, then log off, then log back in again later, they are all deactivated and I have to go find them in my inventory again.

Is this what you all do? Or is there someway to make them stick, like clothes, so that when you log in, they are already available.

When you look at the gestures in your inventory, are they in the gesture folder? If so, are they highlighted with the word active?

If they are in the Library, which is the folder above My Inventory, you might have to drag them to the folder labeled Gestures in the main folder labeled My Inventory.
