just wondering (and yes i have searched) how do i change the idle animation, so that instead of my avatar standing there with his arms at his side, he would stand with his arms crossed?
maybe i've over looked something, but this has been bugging me for a couple of days.

What I think you want is called an Animation Override, or "AO" for short. This is something you buy or get as a freebie ingame.
An AO is a scripted object that usually puts some button images in the corner of your screen, to turn on/off and control. It can affect the way you look when standing, walking, running, flying, swimming, sitting, and more.
For more info, search these forums for "animation override", and perhaps "ZHAO", which is a free AO system minus the actual animations. (Animations are things people create out-world that control how avatars move ingame, and are used for objects that allow dancing, cuddling, drinking, etc.) So, you don't want ZHAO itself, but products people made with it, or systems like it.

The "idle" animations are called stands.
An animation override will allow you to cycle through different stands or play them at random. You can make your own animations using one of the free programs such as Qavimator or DAZ studio and upload them into SL, load freebie or purchased stands into an AO yourself, or buy a complete set of stands preloaded.
