Hello. I am just starting out as an animator in SL. I am using Poser to create static poses. Poser is a new application for me so I'm learning as I go. I've been successful in creating many poses, but am having a bit of a problem with poses when I want to turn my figure right or left. I've turned her using her hips and then following up with the legs and feet. As usual, it looks great it Poser, but when I try to upload the feet are in really painful looking positions. Can anyone tell me what step I'm missing? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Make sure that your animation/static pose starts in the second frame. The first frame you need to leave untouched, the default pose. Further: I never made static poses myself, but for longer animations it's necessary to break spline for the first two frames.

Thank you for your reply. However, I'm already making sure that I have two frames with the default pose in the first frame. The problem I'm having is that while I'm creating a pose that requires my figure to be turned to the right or left her feet get all messed up when I try to upload the pose into SL. Do you know why this is or how to fix it? Thanks

have you tried turning off inverse kinematics before exporting the bvh file?

Yes. I tried turning it off before exporting as bvh, but that didn't work either.

What version of Poser are you using? If it is Version 6, you need an add-on to export to bvh correctly for SL. (You can download the add-on from the e-Frontier web site.)

Make sure to use high enough permissions when you upload. If the permissions are too low, the default animation will show through. Sometimes you want that of course, but not with a static full-body pose.

I am using Poser 7(the latest and greatest). And I've tried uploading with all different priority levels and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Even though I am new to Poser I read through most of the helpful posts here on this forum. It's been a great help. Just unable to fix this one thing. It's very frustrating.
