Hey, I just switched to a Mac from a PC. After I downloaded SL I discovered there is no "advanced" tab. My question is this: Can anyone tell me how to stop the typing animation when i chat?

If you want the Advanced Tab back and available, I believe the short cut to make it appear is Ctrl + Alt + D.
Another means of preventing the typing is if you have an AO (Animation Override), and the Standing Animations have a high enough Priority to override the built-in typing animation. I think that a Priority of 3 or 4 is necessary to override the built-in typing animation. |

Once you have the Advanced tab back (Cpt-Ctrl-D), go to Debug Settings... and set PlayTypingAnim to FALSE, Keep in mind that some people do not like not being able to see that you are responding to them, but I keep mine off at all times.
