Hey Everybody :),

Just curious and i figured this would be the best place to ask. Does anybody know what units are used in BVH files(meters vs feet, rad vs deg)?? Or does this depend on your Poser settings when you export your animation?

Thanks

I've hacked through a BVH before, so I can answer that.

Absolute units. The file does not specify meters, feet, etc, relying on the next program to make that conversion.

But, for reference, an avatar is about 20-30 units tall in a default Poser export.

As I recall, it also uses degrees. If you'd like to look yourself, just pop the file open in a text editor.

thx Jeff :)..My main concern was the length measurement . i have looked through a bvh file and am still working on picking apart exactly how its translated ... Ill have to do a some research on the specific ratio of Absolute units to Meters... unless there is a Linden out there listening that can declassify this info..lol..anybody?..LOL
