Im a newbie my first animation was a standing flaping arms person (Ulrikas Tutorial). After that i tried to create a sleeping avatar. It should lie at the floor. After creating the animation in Poser 5 and upload, my avatar will play this animation never in lie-position.
Anyone can explain what im doing wrong ?
I saw freebie animations who shows sleeping avatars WITHOUT any scripting.

I saw freebie animations who shows sleeping avatars WITHOUT any scripting. This question is a good example of our need for an FAQ for New Animators. This question has been addressed in a previous thread: http://forums.secondlife.com/archive/index.php/t-22803.htmlBut, it's unlikely Swapps would have found this archived thread because the terms he/she uses to describe the problem (sleeping avatar and lie-position) are different from the archived thread title, "Animation not rotated correctly". A key to successful FAQs is developing the questions in such a way that the user connects his or her problem with the question and finds the answer. If you'd like to help develop an FAQ for New Animators, please reply to my earlier posting on this: http://forums.secondlife.com/archive/index.php/t-47701.htmlThanks, Pietro

A tip that I have for making sitting/lying poses is to go into Library-->Poses and look at the male and female poses that come with Poser. If you are going to be creating a sit pose, try starting off with one of the built in ones to get the figure into position, and then adjust from there. The same with lying poses - it is a lot easier than trying to do so from scratch. Just make a 2 frame animation - the first frame is the standard T pose (if you accidentally posed frame 1, go to Edit-->Restore-->Figure to get it back to the T pose), and do your pose in the second frame. Import it with looping checked in the SL import screen, and voila, you have your lying/sitting pose.
Also, if the final pose is too high or too low, the key to adjusting it is to move the position or adjust the rotation of the hips. Double click on the hips to bring up the properties window for them, and switch the property window to view the sliders for the various settings. Use these sliders to adjust the positioning - it is much easier than trying to do it freeform.

Since someone IMed me with a question on how to find the Library, I thought I would add a screen shot, and a little more info. To access to Library, click on the little handle on the right side of the screen in Poser, or select it from the Window menu (Window-->Libraries). Go into Poses, and look for a folder called Female Poses, or Male Poses (this is based on Poser 5). Here is what the library looks like:

Make sure you are adjusting the hips in frame 2, not frame 1 - and also that you turn of IK on the legs (under the Figure menu). If you leave IK on, the legs will move with the hips, which is not the desired result. If you adjust in frame 1, it will mess up the pose, as SL uses frame 1 as a reference to get the correct position and rotation.
