Okay. I've seen this problem before, and the fix worked. It's not working now. ISSUE: Animation plays fine in Poser 7; upon upload to SL, certain parts don't animate right. The chest or leg is frozen when it should be moving, or an arm is stuck in a funny position. OLD SOLUTION: This behavior was usually caused by there being some motion in the first frame; normally before exporting .bvh I'd make sure that the first frame didn't have any animation in it (reset all the perameters in the dials). If that didn't work, breaking splines usually resolved any leftover problems. CURRENT SITUATION: As of tonight, none of that's not working. Every time I upload, something new and crappy happens to the animation that worked fine in Poser 7. I'm desperate for a solution. Thanks in advance, Eva ***UPDATE*** Well... I got it working, for about an hour. Then it broke again. And want to know the real mind-job? I tried to re-upload the files that had worked during that hour? Broken Yeah. Anyone care to animate me an open-mouth, insert-gun animation? Will pay. IM me.

I'm experiencing the same problem - relieved to know it isn't just me -....but has anyone found a solution?
(Tearing hair out animation would be accurate!)

Always try lowering the frame rate. In practice, Second Life has a lot of issues with 30 fps. Cut it to 15 fps, and things will look like you expect them. (I think 12 fps works fine, myself.)
The reason is this: Poser interpolates motion differently than Second Life. Fewer frames give Second Life fewer opportunities to do something differently than you intended.

well sheesh I am not a a super Poser expert, but I think I may have a few solutions to this problem.
1. You may not be using the SL avatar. 2. you probably didn't break spline for the 2 keyframe set ( the beginning matters) 3.Joint rotation was not possible in SL 4. one of your body parts are inside of your model.
those are the only few reasons I would know that may cause a problem. Then again I am using poser 6........but hey if this gets solved tell me so I can use poser 7 flawlessly

Some progress

Having checked and tried all suggestions, I can now explain the problem a bit further. It seems that SL cannot recognise certain rotation movements that can be created in Poser 7. For example, rotation of the figure done by selecting "Body" is not recognised on upload to SL - even though the animation works fine in Poser. Figure rotations made by selecting "hip" seem to upload ok.
The difficulty arises when the actual figure rotation movement that you want to animate cannot be achieved in Poser by selecting "hip". Possibly this incompatibility problem exists with certain other joint rotations too.
All further suggestions/solutions/advice/sympathy gratefully received.
