how to teleport

Im not sure if this is the right place in the forums for this question, but I an new.. started yesterday and had a friend teleporting me around. Now that I am on my own.. how do I go anywhere? Im stuck and the entry place you go to after the tutorial. Could someone please help me? Thank you
