Easier Way to Trigger Anim

I know you can easily trigger gestures with keyboard shortcuts (ie, F2) and by typing commands in the chat text box (ie, /wave).

Is there an easier way to run animations than through Inventory? Can you trigger animations with keyboard shortcuts and chat commands?

Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken you can "make gestures" and assign your anims to the gesture, along with sounds too I think, and then same same as assigning gesture keyboard shortcuts.

Am I reading this wrong, or did you answer your own question before you asked it?

Your Q: "Can you trigger animations with keyboard shortcuts and chat commands?"

Your A: "I know you can easily trigger gestures with keyboard shortcuts (ie, F2) and by typing commands in the chat text box (ie, /wave)."

Did you mean something else? You can trigger animations several different ways from the ways you listed above. (IE, Sitting on an object. Mouse click's. Page UP/DOWN. Or even set an animation to run at a timed interval provided you have permission to trigger animations in a running script to begin with)

(Paused, re-read what you wrote for the 3rd time lol)

Okay. I see the subtle difference in what you're saying now.

If the confusion here is just in terminology (gesture vs. animation). They're basically one in the same, more or less.

- You can use Gestures to run animations (though you can run a gesture without an animation - for example, if you just want to have a F button to auto say stuff you use repeatedly [IE "LOL"] without any animation running).

OR

- Animations can be triggered independantly and not have anything to do with a gesture. (Like I mentioned above, using scripts in objects [which can be triggered with chat output or various other ways]).

Sorry. Hope I'm not confusing you more. Feel free to clarify your question or ask more about this.

Of course, my custom amins are available in the Gestures dialog box along with the standard amins from LL. I just didn't see them--KSOSOH (Knock Self On Side Of Head)?!?

Thanks Jonny and Omen for pointed this out to me.

FYI you currently cannot put no-copy or no-transfer animations into a gesture. This unfortunately is by design, rendering gestures fairly useless for animations.
