Just started playing with poser 5 today. After reading Ulrika's tutorial and playing around for a bit, i made a simple animation for laying on the ground, propped up on my arms, kicking one leg . When i went to upload it, the preview window looked totally wrong! After playing with the priority, i got the animation to look about right, but i was upright (as if laying on a wall), instead of on the ground as my model appeared in poser.
update: so part of my problem was that i misread part of the tutorial. i loaded the default pose, but then edited it in the first frame, screwing up the animation's orientation. things are a little happier now, though i still am having some problems with the av wanting to slide way over to the side in mid gesture. any insight?

Double check where your keyframes are, you may have it slid over a bit in Poser and might not notice depending on the camera view your using in Poser?

well, i've sorta fixed my problem. my model was centered fine in my keyframes. problem seems to be that i just didn't have enough keyframes, specifically in the first 5 or so frames, to smooth out the transition from the default stance into my looped laying down anim. making all of the first 5 or 6 frames (out of 30 total) into keyframes forced my av to not slide all over due to what i assume to be the frames poser put in to transition between the standing position in the first frame and the following frame of me laying down. SL ignores that first frame, whereas poser doesn't, which was causing most of the confusion for me. ANYWAY, as long as i do that, everything works nice and happy, so hurray!
