Im trying to make a floting animation and i want the whole avatar to be lifted a little so it looks like hes floating (kinda like magneto from x-men if u've seen it) but the feet stick into the ground so its kinda going in the oppisite direction i want, also the legs still move when i walk how can i stop that? i thank you for any advice u can give.

Clarify on what kind of application did it happen, in SL, Poser or another program.
If you uses Poser, you have to turn off Inverse Kinematics.

My answers to my translation of the questions (which may be wrong in both respects!) -

You need to lift the hip height so you're off the ground - there's a shadow to show where the ground height is. As Seagel says, you probably have to turn off inverse kinematics (do your feet stay glued to the floor if you don't? Don't remember.)

How are you 'using' the animation? If you're just opening it and playing it from your inventory, when you walk, your walk animation will take priority. You'll need to set up an animation override so that your float plays over both standing and walking (and anything other thing you might do where you want that animation to play).
