I'm a Newbie and I've read most of the threads In this section I think this isn't coverd yet.
I wonderd if there was a way to get an animation into the gesture composer or can you upload an animation as a gesture instead of an animation from poser 5?

Or are the gestures hard coded into the gesture composer, ( Hope i'm calling that by the right name I'm talking abot the thing you can make a script full of gestures that are set off by a key press or phrase ) , and no way to do that?

Or is there a simple script that does make it so you can link multiple animations to each other setting them off with a key of some kind with wait till animation is dones included.

Also I noticed in some animations i've have found the subject sometimes move around a lot is that done by moving the cameras in poser or is the poser subject actualy changing locations like a walk path. I Will probably just try it and see before anyone responds but will post results so maybe it will help the next guy.

Gestures are really just a sequenced set of text, sound and animations. Animations that you have that are either no copy or no transfer will not show up as a useable animation in Gestures at this time due to a copying bug with Gestures. You cannot upload gestures.

If you do have the necessary rights to your animations to use them in a gesture then you can sequence them as you imply. Yes there are also scripts out there (and more on the way I'm certain) that can do this as well.

Animations where the subject moves are the poser subject actually doing those moves in poser.

SL handles the motion data for the model but not the camera, props, enviroment, etc.

Actually Racer, there is a problem with saving gestures right now that I have experienced since Sunday.

I have created 9 distinct gestures that incorporated "My" animations and "My" sounds that would not save to the gesture list once I logged out. They worked fine while I was in world and upon logging out and logging back in even after saving them they were no longer on the list.

Please anyone else that is having this problem report it to LL so we can get them to fix this asap.

Shadow, this might help? I had that problem if I didnt name the gesture (up at the top). Look in your gesture folder, they might still be there, only unnamed. The ones I set up like this turned themselves off, I had to tick to make it active again.

The problem I have with animations as gesture, is them shutting off. I am missing something somewhere probably. If I set a animation pose as a gesture, I am stuck with it until I relog.

Loki, in the window where you set up the animation "script" persey you have to shut it off there with and animation stop command just like you had an animation start command.

;) hope this helps and I will check when I get in this evening but If I remember correctly I dont think that is the case Loki because I did name em.
