A question about making gestures

hi
I've bought animations and gestures and some have animations and some have sounds but not both. HOw can I make these into one gesture? or can i? they are both made like a gesture and when I go to make one that needs sound the sounds of course don't show up cus of being made like a gesture instead of just a sound clip. Sooo any suggestions?? I'm rather new to making them so I need all the help I can get lol
