Syncing male and female poses together?

I've recently been working on a few intimate "couples" animations... trying to give a little more "realistic" life and movement to both avatar.

These have run as 90 - 199 frame loops and play very well in Poser 5. But... once pulled into SL and loaded into pink/blu pose balls I find that they are out of sync due to the different start times of the 2 users.

I own both "Waltz A Mation" and "Slow Dance A Mation" by Siggy Romulus and have found that if the Fem ball is mounted first... when the Male ball is mounted... the couple dance and move in a reasonable sync.

He appears to use a script to sync their motion, but... as one who has little understanding of LSL, I hit a wall trying to figure other ways to accomplish this.

Does anyone know of a work around or at least a nice script I could find (or purchase) to accomplish this?

Or... is this the reason that many couple's poses seem to feature "simple" action by one partner and zilch motion by the other... being too much work for the creator to get longer framed "realism"?

Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated...

Sami - what I did is write a seperate script that waited until both parties had sat on their respective prims and then told them to animate once both were sitting... Hope that helps a lil..

It most certainly does Siggy ;) Thanks so much for the reply.

Even though I'm not even to the level of being a script "novice", I had thought that was the approach you probably used and am glad to hear that my thoughts weren't totally in Left Field... LOL! :)

Keep up the great work and products... I think everyone should have a "Lapmatic" for playing Bingo with a Partner *grin*.

Take care...

Glad that old clunker still gets some good use :) You can thank Jonquille for the idea of the Lapmatic - it was one of those 'wouldn't it be nice if.....' things :)

The waltz was the first 2 person anim I worked on, and I learned a lot from it - mainly on how not to do things :) A couple of things I did learn was loading 2 people into Poser and working on both anims simultaneously is a good move - then using sittarget to line them up properly back in SL (this is the main reason it uses a 'poseball like' system - as an afterthought I added a slight timed rotation to it).

I'm sure there are better and more elegant solutions out there to be found - I'm working on a version 2.0 of that dancer machine that drives the whole affair - if I learn anything new and crazy I'll be sure to pass it on :)

Siggy.
