Not really sure where ask this, but figured animatora woulda run into the issue by now. When ya change the shape of a char, ie shorten say the arm under edit appearence. Does the length of the bone itself change or is this a illusion like lot features in SL?

The bone length itself does change I believe. For example, if you have an animation where you're holding your hands together and then you change arm length, your hands will no longer be in the same position relative to each other. Is this what you were asking?
