Find the type of anims you like the work of, and send a notecard to the creator and discuss terms. Full perm anims wont be to cheep thought. May be better to make your own

I personally use poser 7, Its expensive and takes a bit of time to learn but its in my opinion the best I've used for creating animations.
I suggest that you try each program there's quite a few out there (check the sticky at the top of this forum) and then decide which one you like, Grab demo versions of the commercial ones aswell. Then choose the most comfortable one for you.
Each program will have its own pro's and con's, poser is great for more detailed anims (my own opinion) whilst other programs are easier to use and learn.

I should like to emphasise Natalie's words ... try out the free software, like QAvimator and try the demo versions of the ones you have to buy. Make sure you like making animations before you buy a package like Poser. Don't expect quick results - it takes a lot of patience to make animations.

I did not buy Poser 7 to do just Second Life animations, though. I already had it to do lots of other 3D graphics stuff that's not related to Second Life. If you just want a program only to do animations for Second Life, I can't think of any reason to buy Poser before learning how to use one of the free animations programs built for Second Life. And I've seen this question come up a lot on this forum- "Should I buy Poser?" And I've never seen anyone list something that Poser can do that something like Qavimator(?) cannot in terms of Second Life animation.
