Walking slowly

Hi, I have made a slow, ceremonial walk animation which is to be used as an ao in an attachment. Looks pretty good so far, but the problem is when played in-world the actual forward movement is much too fast for the animation so that it looks as if the av were gliding across the floor.

Is there any way to control the forward moving speed? Or should I be asking this in the scripters' forum?

I don't think you can control your forward walking speed through the standard options in SL. I think it would have to be scripted. How that would be done I have no clue.

If the walk anim is sufficiently slow, you can try holding space bar while walking (be sure to close chat line first). Holding the space while moving forward causes slow movement.

If that doesn't work out, re-post this question in the scripting tips section.

If you make a scripted object or HUD and have it capture key controls, it could move the avatar slowly and play the animation. My suspicion is this would not be a trivial script, and would probably interfere with AOs, but I think it is doable and would be appropriate for a number of situations, including weddings and (other ;) combat situations.
